What happend at the Club this Week

WHAT HAS HAPPEND AROUND THE CLUB THIS WEEK.

Bare-foot-bowls on Friday nights is proving very popular with good numbers of all ages
having a go. (Concludes in late April.)
A big welcome to new and and old players.
Cost is a one off $5 or $10 per family. Bring friends, family or workmates.
Starts from 4:30 but you can turn up anytime later and play until dark.

On Tuesday 25/02/20 Social Bowls winners were H. Curnick, S. Scholl and J. Gibbs.
The raffle winner was Yvonne Smolenaars.
Today’s Event will be Drawn Triples.
There will be a Pennant Break-up Lunch at the Criterion Hotel on the 12th March @ 12.00.
List on the Ladies Board. All members welcome.
The Ladies 100 Up Final will be between T. Costello & L. Bond on the 20th March.

60+ over was at Rochester on Wednesday 26th Feb. with 30 teams.
Greens were in great condition thanks to Darren Walles the greenkeeper.
There were 2 three game winners and first were Rich River’s K. Robertson, R. Teasdale,
P. Preston & P. Wallace with 4 in the yardstick. The Runners-up were Echuca’s E. Smith,
P. Hampson, D. Blackthorn & B. Charman with 3 in the yardstick.
On Wednesday 4th March , we will play at Rich River, 10 o’çlock start.

Men’s 100 up rounds are continuing with the third round to be played by March 8th.
Rochester’s Mixed pairs championship is up to the third round.
Winners through to the semis are Clayton/Tamborini to play Weeks /Costello.
Major/Kneebone played C & B. Anderson with the Andersons through to the final.
Men’s 21 Up draw is up to round 4 to be completed by Mar.15th.
A. Gusak will play A. Crilly for a place in the final while T. Quinlan will play M. McCraild for the other place.

Saturday Pennant
Our Division 3 team went to Elmore to play Mathoura on Saturday 29th Feb in a 3rd versus 4th
cut throat final.

Hedley Moon Graeme Chambers Tony Scott Bert Smolenaars Won 21 / 20 +1
Don Gillies Greg Watkins Mal Macraild Kevin Hall Won 23 / 22 +1
Overall loss of 2 shots and out of the finals.

Rochester hosted the first of the Campaspe Valley Division 4 Finals on Saturday in great conditions.
First placed Echuca played second placed Rich River with Echuca winning on all three rinks 85 to 57.
Third placed Moama Played fourth placed Mathoura with Mathoura winning on all three rinks 89 to 49.
Therefore Echuca is through to the Final and Moama is out. Rich River will play Mathoura in the
Preliminary final in 2 weeks due to the long weekend.

Friday Tea is back on this week, so get your name on the list in the foyer by Thursday.
